A Church Member's Life in Turkey

The following report was received from a Church member living in Turkey at the request of Brother Robert J. Hawkins, World Mission Coordinator. I live in a little town that was a fishing village until the country opened to tourism. They now have around a hundred thousand tourists or more each year. The city comes alive from May to October. The rest of the time it is for most parts quiet and a lot of businesses closed.

The people are mostly friendly. If I had to sum them up they are hard headed and high tempered with most of them not having much education. They are predominantly Moslem. The laws are based on this principle. The people want to change everyone to their beliefs but if you try to change them they will fight and not just with words...
