God's Favor Rests Upon Honduras Youth Camp

There were three hundred fifty-eight campers registered in the National Youth Camp in Honduras from April 21-23, 2011. Campers came from all over Honduras, many traveling hours by bus to attend this wonderful event. There was not enough cabins to hold all who attended so many set up tents in the open field, and others slept in homes of members who live close by. In addition eleven members from The Church of God in Nicaragua attended. The camp was also attended by Brother Dustin Hays (General VLB Coordinator) and Brother Michael Dominguez (Translator). The young people in Honduras were excited to have General Headquarters Representatives present with them for the first time in their annual Youth Camp. There was great fun and silliness as in any camp. The camp theme was "Amantes de la Verdad" (Lovers of the Truth). Lessons were taught on "The Youth and His Virtues" as well as on the doctrine of Restitution.

On the opening night of the camp Brother Dustin preached on the thought "Do You Love The Truth?" The people ...

Beyond the Walls into North Korea

On our recent trip to South Korea, several of us traveled to the Demilitarized Zone. The DMZ is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between North Korea and South Korea. It is approximately 2.5 miles wide and it is the most heavily militarized area in the world. North Korea is a country that has been described as a "prison" and has the fourth largest military in the world. North Korea's state religion is Juche and it influences all aspects of the society. Instead of God the Father, adherents worship Kim il-Sung, North Korea's first dictator who died in 1994 yet continues to rule as North Korea's "Eternal President" and official head of state. The Juche religion teaches North Koreans that upon death, they will be reunited with Kim il-Sung and be with him forever. Instead of God...

Lesotho: A New Country for Christ and His Church

LesothoWorld Mission Coordinator Robert Hawkins and his wife, along with the General Overseer and his wife made the long journey to Africa, April 11- 28. What a wonderful time we had visiting the Churches of God in Swaziland and South Africa. God blessed in every meeting, as souls were saved, sanctified, baptized with the Holy Ghost and joined The Church of God. May God continue to bless all our faithful ministers and members in these countries! There were many spiritual highlights, and all was brought to a wonderful climax with a special visit to the country of Lesotho, which is located within the boundary lines of the country of South Africa.

On April 26, our journey from Bloemfontein, South Africa, to Maputsoe, Lesotho, was supposed to take only a few hours, but due to road construction we took the "scenic" route. It was indeed scenic, with beautiful countryside everywhere we looked...
