While the General Assembly provides a forum for worship, fellowship, and unity of Spirit, its chief purpose is business, both doctrinal and practical. From the beginning it has been the expressly stated purpose of the Assembly to search the Scriptures for additional light and knowledge.

Ridgecrest’s campus offers a variety of lodging accommodations within easy walking distance to all meeting space. Deluxe hotels, Mountain Laurel Inn and Rhododendron, offer comfortable hotel accommodations and amenities such as hair dryers, in-room irons and ironing boards, coffeemakers and complimentary wireless internet throughout the building.
Standard hotels such as Pritchell and Maple offer in-room irons and ironing boards as well as complimentary wireless internet, providing guests with economical options. Ridgecrest’s varied lodging options also include Walnut and Royal Gorge, perfect for larger families.

The main dining area at Ridgecrest is located on the lower level of Rhododendron, a centralized location on campus. Daily meal tickets can be purchased for these cafeteria-style meals along with a room reservation.

Stop by Clouds coffee shop where gourmet coffees, teas, and fresh lattes are served. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax or an environment to fellowship with friends, Clouds is a great place to take a break from the day’s activities.
Nibble Nook is an old-fashioned ice cream counter with a diverse selection of flavors. This Ridgecrest favorite also serves a variety of snacks including pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, chips, crackers, candy, and drinks.
Rhododendron meal times and Nibble Nook operating hours may vary and will be announced during the General Assembly.
Directions & Travel Information
Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Ridgecrest Conference Center (1598 Old US 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711) is located seventeen miles east of Asheville, North Carolina on Interstate 40 at Exit 66.
- From I-40, take Exit 66 (Ridgecrest).
- Turn left (if traveling east) or right (if traveling west) onto Dunsmore Avenue.
- Turn right onto Old U.S. Highway 70.
- Ridgecrest is on the left.
Asheville Regional Airport is serviced by several carriers including Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta, and United. Guests may also choose to fly into nearby larger airports Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Piedmont Triad International Airport, or McGhee Tyson Airport.

Greyhound is an intercity bus carrier serving over 3,800 destinations across North America including Asheville.
In order to ensure a positive Assembly experience, delegates are asked to familiarize themselves with the Ridgecrest Conference Center campus prior to arrival. If you need additional assistance upon arrival, contact an Assembly usher or a Ridgecrest Conference Center staff member who will happily assist you.
The primary Assembly sessions will convene in Spilman Auditorium. Doors to the auditorium will open daily at 8:00 AM and will remain open throughout the day. The locations of Children’s Assembly, luncheons, and workshops will be announced during the Assembly.
Delegates needing assistance moving around campus are encouraged to ask for information regarding the shutting schedule upon arrival.
