It is my pleasure to announce that International Youth Camp is getting a makeover! The newly revamped IYC will be held in Browns Summit, North Carolina on Friday, August 30th through Monday, September 2nd, 2024 (US Labor Day weekend). Unlike previous years, this will be a separate time and place from the annual General Assembly.
When IYC first began numerous years ago, the original intent was to use this tool as an opportunity for training and instruction for those working in our camping ministries worldwide. What a joyous time it was when delegates from around the world were able to gather together for a time of fellowship, instruction, learning, and worship.
Over the course of the passing years and the ever-changing society in which we live, it is evident that we all need to be well-equipped when it comes to working in the camping ministry. There is a great need for special training, which is sure to be an imperative asset to our youth and leadership of the Church of today, as well as the future until Christ returns for His Church.
Seeing the importance of the need for applicable training for our camping ministries, we are excited to be taking this back to the roots of what IYC was originally intended to be by introducing a newly revamped IYC experience.
I look forward to sharing more information with you very soon; in the meantime, begin making preparations now to attend IYC 2024.
