Into His Presence

Streams in the Desert

One's quest to enter into the presence of the Lord will bring him face on with the two questions and the resultant answers given in Psalms 24:3, 4. Adam, in his creative perfection, walked and fellowshipped with God, but when sin replaced his perfection he hid himself from God. Sin still keeps us from full fellowship with the Lord. That is why Paul admonished the Church to "lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us" (Hebrews. 12:1).

The prophet Isaiah states, “…for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water…” (Isaiah 35:6, 7). Throughout the world, people are crying out as they thirst for spiritual nourishment. The only way this spiritual need can be fulfilled is through the hearing of the nourishing Word of God.
