In the midst of our fundraising campaign, the committee continues to search for property for the Church. We would like to remind you of the features we examine with every property. A more detailed description of how we use these features can be found in our report to the 116th General Assembly which can be downloaded from www.thechurchofgod.org/tabernacle. Here are the features we examine with every property:
Location – Our current focus is in Bradley County Tennessee to minimize the impact to GHQ daily operations as well as oversight or management of the property.
Growth Potential – Any location should afford the opportunity for future expansion.
Prominence – All properties are evaluated as to their ability to be viewed by the public.
Access – Access attributes include traffic flow, congestion potential, and number of current or potential entrances.
Construction – The committee examines all requirements to construct a tabernacle on the property. This includes utilities, water run-off/drainage, zoning, General Headquarters and Assembly Operations requirements, etc.
Financial – With every property, the committee examines the total cost, cash flow of any income-producing property, and the implications of financing. We also closely monitor the status of funds raised for the Tabernacle Project.
Please continue to pray for our committee as we search for the right property for The Church of God.
