The Apostle Paul, in writing to the Philippians stated: “Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto me necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account” (Philippians 4:15-17). Sharing Hands is a vital aspect of the mission work. For a missionary struggling to reach people for Christ and the Church, the thought that someone is concerned about his endeavors is most refreshing. It is saying to them: “We want to share in your labor.” Through Sharing Hands funds are raised to help build buildings, furnish transportation, or support the ministry.

Areas of Need

Buildings: In many nations, having a place to worship is a luxury rather that a commodity. Costs to buy land and materials to build a sanctuary run high, but with our combined efforts, new churches can be built.

Transportation: An active minister needs transportation. Our ministers in mission fields often oversee large areas and have to travel many miles to fulfill the assigned responsibility. Your financial gift helps to purchase adequate transportation for these missionaries.

Basic Necessities: Occasionally, hardships challenge the people of God. In times of natural disasters, famine, or human atrocities, our efforts to help our brothers and sisters in Christ are greatly appreciated.

Ministers: Missionaries are ministers are daily engaged in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The sacrifices these faithful servants make to labor for God does not go unnoticed. Supporting a minister helps the man or woman of God to provide for a family while fulfilling the divine call.
