BTI Inspires, Instructs, and Welcomes New Covenant Members

I was blessed to be with the Church in Kenya and be part of the Leadership Pastoral Development school there. I am grateful for the love, hospitality, and dedication of our brothers and sisters in Kenya who were faithful in attendance (some walking over an hour each day). By the grace of God and their loyalty, we were able to go through all the teaching material (Administration, Church Studies, Doctrine, and the Auxiliaries). There were fifty individuals in attendance, and they all had great participation as questions were asked and Bible answers were given. Pastor Nephat Nyaga did a great job interpreting, as the students were a mixture of English and Swahili-speaking people. There were visitors attending who were invited to be with us, and it was encouraging to see them asking questions, enjoying the fellowship, and being blessed by the school. One testified that he had a lot of questions to test what kind of church we are. He affirmed that this must be the true Church of God and not one among the many denominational churches that teach false doctrine! What a wonderful testimonial for this school. 

We had two pastors in attendance for the duration of the school, from the former organization, who sat under the teachings, joined in the worship, and shared fellowship. They testified that this is the true Church they were seeking for. They had grown uncomfortable in their previous organization and had become independent, but God would have it that they still had a desire to seek for His Church, which He led them to. One fruitful result is that on the final day of the school, they both took the covenant to become members of The Church of God, and the National Overseer of Kenya, Bishop Renison Mbogo, will organize their local congregations to also receive the teachings and become covenant members. 

I felt honored, privileged, and humbled to be part of this school. God bless the Church in Kenya!
