Reaching Hawaii for Christ

Reaching Hawaii for Christ

The Womens Missionary Band, in partnership with the Evangelism Department, came together for the Aloha Mission Crusade, held in Honolulu, Hawaii, November 1-8, 2025. During this time, our team was blessed to witness the hand of God moving in powerful ways. We held three evening services, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and were especially blessed to have as many as 13 visitors in a single night. The Crusade team consisted of 25 dedicated individuals who together canvassed over 1,200 miles on foot and by car, distributed 2,700 flyers, and reached out to the Hawaiian, Asian, and Spanish communities. Truly, God opened many doors, allowing us to make new contacts and establish lasting connections.

One of the highlights of the week was the partnership formed with a local Spanish congregation, which joined us for services and welcomed the team to worship with them in their home church. This fellowship was a great encouragement for continuing communication with this congregation. Please help us pray that God will continue to bless. Many wonderful contacts were made during this time, and several are continuing to stay in touch with us. Among them are two young Asian men, who are brothers, who noticed our sign in the hotel lobby advertising the Crusade. They attended our services and soon developed a growing desire to learn more about the gospel. They remain in contact and are now participating in Zoom Bible studies with some of our young people. We also had the opportunity to meet their parents, who live in Seattle, Washington, though the mother is originally from Beijing, China. Please join us in prayer that their love for God and desire to learn more will continue to grow, leading them into a deeper understanding of the Truth.

A very special word of thanks goes to Grayson and Ashley Kent, who faithfully operated our “Command Center.” Their organization and dedication were invaluable, ensuring that the logistics of the mission ran smoothly from start to finish. In addition, special appreciation goes to our three team leads, the General WMB Coordinator, the Evangelism Director, and Trevor O’Dell, whose leadership and commitment were equally vital.

Each team member worked tirelessly from morning to evening hours in many cases, as we all joined together to reach Hawaii for Christ and His Church. Among the week’s most memorable moments was a water baptism service held on the beach, where the presence of the Lord was deeply felt, and many hearts were touched. We also had a service in the park, where passersby joined in worship and were moved by the team’s ministry and music.

We are grateful for the increase in website traffic, which rose by 209% during the campaign week compared to the previous year’s traffic. This increase is a result of the QR code featured on the Aloha Mission Crusade flyer that was distributed. In addition, the online ad reached 20,250 homes. To God be the glory!

Truly, the Aloha Mission Crusade was a week filled with blessings, open doors, and opportunities to share the love of Jesus with the people of Hawaii. Future visits are planned to continue the work, with the expectation that the standard of The Church of God will be established there. To God be the glory for all He is accomplishing!

The following testimony is from Jerry Campbell, General Evangelism Coordinator.

“I will bring them in!” Much like Paul and Silas, who both heard God’s call to go into a particular mission field as a team, so it was with the Womens Missionary Band and the Evangelism Department for the Aloha Mission Crusade. Following the guidance of the Holy Ghost, a partnership was formed, and prayed-down plans became a reality.

From the opening orientation, the 25 team members, united in spirit and purpose, recognized the confirmation of God’s will to be a part of this first-time mission effort on the beautiful island of Honolulu. The daily canvassing, coupled with searching out pre-arrival contacts, resulted in many visitors to the Holy Ghost-filled services. The Holy Ghost spoke to the heart of a team member during the first service and clearly said, “I will bring them!” And He did!

While the beauty of the island was breathtaking, it couldn’t compare to the beauty in the moving of the Spirit at the ocean-front, beach-side baptismal service. EVERY aspect of the Crusade was anointed with God’s divine, holy presence! The Lord has opened wide the door for a new spiritual beginning for this paradise island. Seeds were planted, and return efforts are in the making to water those seeds. Heaven holds the record of the seen and unseen results ALL for God’s honor! To God be the glory! Great things hath He done—and He’s only just begun!

The following testimony is from Trevor O’Dell.

I would like to say how blessed I was to be part of the Mission Crusade in Hawaii! From the very first prayer to the closing “Amen,” the presence of the Holy Ghost was felt and confirmed what everyone was feeling—the call to Hawaii! Time will not permit me to say everything, but God holds the record of the labor that was done. The teams worked so hard canvassing the area. As we ran into different obstacles going door-to-door, I called the command center, and he would get us rerouted to the correct location! The whole operation just flowed so easily, and Brother Kent was a great blessing and an excellent resource!

Being able to minister to the communities of Hawaii was truly a blessing for the teams, as we were able to pray with those in need. The services were power-packed! The service in the park was a great success as we felt the mighty presence of the Holy Ghost while singing songs of Zion as individuals gathered with us. Prayer requests were taken by some of the team members from these individuals, and we were able to have a prayer with them. Saturday night’s service was bilingual, as we had some Spanish delegates in attendance, and members of the team gave up their seats to make room for all the visitors present.

“Go Ye” was ringing loudly in our hearts as we left the beautiful Island of Hawaii! I would like to say how much I enjoyed working with Sister Griffin and Brother Campbell, and the relationships that were built while working for Christ and His Church. Thank you, Sister Griffin, for asking me to be a part of this great and historic event! Most of all, I would like to thank the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for a mighty presence! One God, one Faith, one Mind, and One Church for All!
