Read the New Testament in 2026

Have you ever tried to read the Bible through in a year? Many have tried. Some have succeeded, but far more, especially youth, fizzle out after a month or two.
This year, our local church is starting a chronological New Testament reading plan, and we invite you, especially youth and new readers, to join us. It is one chapter a day, Monday through Friday, with weekends open for catch-up or deeper reading and reflection. The goal is not to rush through Scripture, but to read at a pace that allows understanding and retention.
By reading the New Testament in the order events happened, the story of Jesus, the early church, and the epistles connect naturally and will build understanding over time. I will be reading along as well, and I would love for you to join us as we grow together in God’s Word, one chapter at a time.
Who knows? If we have great success this year, we may continue with the Old Testament next year.
Lastly, if you already have a reading plan for the coming year, great! Stick to it! If not, I want to strongly encourage all of our youth departments around the world to join us in this endeavor!
May God’s Word edify, bless, and strengthen you in this next year!
