Mission Effort Leads to New Church and Growing Contacts in Colombia

On January 15, we left the city of Bogotá. Brother Germán Castellanos and I headed to the city of Cartagena to meet with General Overseer, Bishop Oscar Pimentel, and World Language Secretary, Bishop Luis Bañuelos, along with Brother Luis Fuentes, our contact and driver in Cartagena.
We went to the hotel and then headed out to visit Sister Carmen Padilla. We also made contact with her son, Moisés Martínez, who pastors an independent congregation. We continued our tour to visit some brethren in Bayunca, specifically in the 14 de Enero area, at the home of Brother Amauri and his family. There, we shared the Prominent Truths and established a contact to continue visiting in the future. From there, we proceeded to visit another sister, Diocelina, with whom we shared doctrinal points and made a good connection.
The next day, on January 16, we embarked on a road trip of several hours to La Piche, in the department of Sucre, to the home of the Meza family. That night, I had the privilege of preaching a message about unity and the Church. The following day, Saturday the 17th, we had a time of sharing doctrinal points as well as questions and answers.
That evening, we traveled to Tolú Playa, where we visited another independent congregation pastored by Sister Carmen Marimón. We met with her before the service to share doctrinal points and established a good contact.
On the morning of Sunday, the 18th, Brother Bañuelos preached the Word of the Lord, and we began the service to organize the Church in La Piche, where four brethren took the covenant. In this way, the Church was officially established in this area, and Brother Esnaider Meza was appointed as pastor. Glory to God for what the Lord is doing on the Colombian coast!
When we returned to Cartagena, we visited an independent pastor named Favio. We shared the doctrine with him and left him with biblical tracts, establishing another contact. From there, we returned to the hotel to rest, as the next day, January 19th, we returned to our homes.
I want to thank our General Headquarters representatives and Headquarters for their valuable support, without which it would have been difficult to carry out this successful missionary journey. To God be the glory!
