Vision for Victory: Two Years, $2 Million!

God is already doing amazing things! On the very day this article was due, The Church of God received an astounding $275,000 from just two donors. Glory to God! We thank Him in advance for more blessings like this, especially when construction efforts begin on our Church property.

At the General Assembly, we announced our new fundraising campaign: “Vision for Victory: Two Years – $2 Million.”

For the past two years, our focus was on individual efforts with the “10 for $100” campaign. Now it is time to shift our focus to the local churches. This is not a heavy burden for just one or two people to carry. This is a call for teamwork! When a congregation links arms with a shared vision, the impossible becomes possible.

The Local Church Challenge: Which Tier Will You Choose?

Our General Overseer has challenged every single local church to step up with 100% participation. Over the next two years, we ask your congregation to choose the goal that fits you best: will you be a $1,000+ church, a $2,500+ church, or a $5,000+ church? Once your church hits the goal, don’t stop there; keep the momentum going!

The Power of Teamwork

A goal like $5,000 might seem difficult, but let’s look through the lens of teamwork. For a church with just 10 members, reaching the $5,000 mark over two years breaks down to only about $20 a month per member. That is completely within reach!

If you think your church is too small, look at our aspiring brothers and sisters in the small town of Seth, West Virginia. This church has only six members (four on a fixed income), yet through sacrifice, excitement, and hard work, this handful of members has raised over $30,000 for the Tabernacle over the last five years! If they can do it, so can you.

Simple Ideas, Big Results

You don’t need a complicated plan to succeed. You simply need to work together consistently. Look at how quickly your church can hit the $1,000 mark with these simple, community-focused events:

  • Fellowship Meal—Host just one church dinner for 80 people and you can easily raise over $1,000.
  • Community Yard Sale—Gather donated items and host two or more well-planned yard sales to blast past the $1,000 mark.
  • Car Wash—Team up with a local business for a standard car wash, and you can generate $1,000 or more.

With a little coordination and teamwork, every local church can be successful! Let’s rise up, raise funds, and build our Assembly Tabernacle together!
